Back to the East

Tonight we start the eastern North American leg of the Fellow Travelers tour at The Earl in Atlanta. From there, we’re working our way up the coast, then heading up to Quebec and down through the Great Lakes to Chicago. (See full dates.) Jesca Hoop will again be joining us as an opener and as a band member. If you haven’t yet seen her live, you’re really in for a treat. Here’s a taste of this lineup: “Hidden Lakes” from a little session we did for Oregon Public Broadcasting last month.

We’ll also be joined by our labelmates Death Vessel, whose beautiful new album Island Intervals, recorded in Iceland with members of Sigur Ros and their producer Alex Ross, was just released. JM wrote the promo blurb for it, which you can read at the (also beautiful and new) subpop.com.

We’ll have the usual spread of T-shirts, vinyl LPs, and 7″s (including the Low split and the Mountain Goats/Angels of Light covers we issued with preorders of Fellow Travelers), the limited-edition silk-screened Fellow Travelers poster by Mark Pedini, and the tour-exclusive Missing Islands CD. We’ve heard very nice things from people who picked it up out west; we hope you like it too.

If you can’t make it to a show, you can purchase the Fellow Travelers bonus 7″ (including digital downloads) or digital single at Sub Pop right now.

Friends in Europe, we’re looking forward to visiting you in a little over a month.
