My old friend (and Blue Water White Death collaborator) Jamie Stewart’s take on “Immaculate”. Jamie’s the mastermind behind the wild and incredible Xiu Xiu, and you can see his fingerprints all over this thing, which is like a 3-hour psychological road movie compressed into just under 3 minutes. NWV has its own identity; it’s bit looser and lighter, though since it’s us, it also shimmers with contradictions. Many of its songs were recorded very late at night, and seemed to blow in on the wind. Like this one.

After a nervous moment in the first week, you came through and lifted us to our goal—and even beyond our goal. The relief and excitement in the SW and Loma camps can hardly be expressed; “Gob-smacked” doesn’t begin to cover it.
